The Government of Canada has recently released its annual Reports on Plans and Priorities (RPPs), intended at improving planning and resource management processes. For each of the 92 governmental departments and agencies, it has developed such a RPP, containing objectives, indicators and initiatives.
The Canadian Hospital Reporting Project (CHRP) is a national initiative aimed at increasing transparency across the healthcare industry. It provides both hospital managers and citizens with access to Key Performance Indicators’ (KPIs) results for more than 600 hospitals across Canada.

In its 2012 annual report, Canadian Pacific Railways included a list of performance indicators and the improvements achieved for each of them.
It turned into a clear sentiment in the last years, especially since measuring performance in any economy field became a souring concern both for managers and workforce, that education, as part of a living and healthy economy, needs to develop its own measuring and evaluation standards.
