Nowadays it has become more and more difficult to enjoy a simple flying experience. And this is due to the fact that not only the huge number of people using this means of transportation makes it more difficult to bear, but also due to the fact that airlines have an outstanding number of fees. In a ranking system used by the American Customer Satisfaction Index, American Airlines received a not so good score: only 69 out of 100 points available.
Typically, having employees’ productivity assessed against agreed benchmarks enhances managers monitor if the personnel is meeting the expectations set. As a consequence, the workplace performance influences employees’ payments: increased productivity leads to higher financial benefits, while low productivity attracts reduced levels of the salary.
Who sustains this? The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), a wholly-owned company of the Government of Dubai, which develops downstream and upstream activities in the oil and gas sector. Saeed Khoory, Chief Executive Officer at ENOC, asserts that “ENOC’s name will become synonymous with industry best practices across multiple industries and markets.” How is this going to happen? When managing an organization as large and as complex as the FBI, it’s not enough to have only a defined mission and a set of priorities. In order to turn it into an intelligence-driven, threat-based entity, a definitive strategy is required. After the 9/11 attacks, the FBI Director, Robert Mueller, published a list of priorities, which clearly showed that the Bureau’s intention to fight terrorism was the main priority. But the list was not enough for a long-term organizational change; therefore, a new strategy was needed.
When someone hears the word ‘fashion’, he or she automatically thinks of skinny models, catwalk, glamorous life, maybe eating disorders, shallowness or why not, money. But, as usual, there’s more here than meets the eye.
What people seem to forget is that in order to have a (successful) collection, some bullet points need to be ‘checked’. A lot of people are involved, from designers to manufacturers, models to managers and sales persons, for instance. Just like a very complex, well-oiled machine. The fashion industry is just like any other industry. Brands have to be creative, to impose themselves on the market, to attract clients and to sell their products.
