Integrating Performance, Initiative and Risk Management: Jude Chagas Pereira, Dubai, 2014
In the context of organizational performance, the third day of the Strategy Leaders Forum included the presentation of Jude Chagas Pereira, the CEO of IYCON about “Integrating Performance, Initiative and Risk Management”.
The presentation focused on two main aspects:
- the importance of initiatives and risks;
- common challenges in integrating objectives, initiatives and risks;

Pereira mentions the importance of tracking performance initiatives in terms of future performance, taking into account the potential risk of non-performance, and not to focus just on the past performance.
He underlines the idea that performance management without considering risk is flying blind, concluding that risk and objective/strategy-setting are inseparable.
