About the influence of culture on Performance Management Systems, with Fateha Shaheen, Sai Nudurupati, David Petty at the PMA 2014 Conference
On the third day of the PMA 2014 Conference, the Senior Lecturers Sai Nudurupati and David Petty, along with the PhD student Fateha Shaheen, from the Manchester Metropolitan University, offered the presentation “Influence of Culture and Management Systems on PMS”.
Their research study aimed at exploring the relationship between organizational culture, behavior strategic management and management accounting, all in the context of Performance Management Systems (PMS).
The first part of the research study consists of an extensive literature review, which revealed theoretical aspects on:
- The PMS lifecycle: design, implementation, usage and updates;
- Culture and PMS;
- Management Systems and Performance Measurement Systems.
The second part of the research will consist of an online survey applied on top management teams from a suitable sample of organizations.
